WhatsApp and Telegram in One Inbox

Why combine WhatsApp and Telegram?#

People often use WhatsApp for phone-based conversations and Telegram for usernames, groups, or communities. The result is two histories, two searches, and two sets of notifications for contacts who may use both.

Linkrium keeps the provider label on every synchronized message and attaches known identifiers to a contact record. It does not turn a WhatsApp conversation into a Telegram conversation or bypass either provider’s rules.

Connection flow#

WhatsApp uses the pairing flow enabled for the Linkrium environment. Telegram uses phone verification and may request an additional account password when two-step verification is active.

After authorization, synchronization depends on provider access, configured history limits, and connection health. Keep the native accounts available for unsupported features and recovery.

What to verify#

• Both networks are marked available on the supported networks page.
• The correct phone number and Telegram account are connected.
• Messages display their source and delivery direction.
• Contacts with multiple identifiers are matched correctly.
• Replies are sent through the intended network.
• Disconnecting one network does not remove the other account.

Limitations#

Calls, provider-specific group administration, disappearing content, message history, attachment types, and other native features may not behave identically in a combined inbox. Linkrium documents only the functionality available in the current build.

Use a small test conversation on each network before relying on the combined view for important messages.
